Who hosts the site? Can I use my own domain name?
We host the site — and store all your data — on our servers. You can use any domain name you own for your Fotobroker site. Most of our clients use ‘photos.MyDomainName.com’ or ‘reprints.MyDomainName.com’, but it’s your call.
How are payments from reprint sales handled?
Once a month, we send you a check with a sales report that itemizes everything. This reporting is also available to admin users from their site at any time. Taxes, if you elect to apply them to sales from your site, are remitted to you monthly in your check.
Who does the printing? and the shipping?
Atlanta-based EZ Prints is our primary fulfillment partner for prints ranging in size from tiny to huge — and for many of our merchandise options, including the mugs and t-shirts.
For larger prints and poster-sizes, we also work with Paragon Display in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We’ve worked with them for years, and there’s just no one else who makes big beautiful prints quite like they do.
Orders are shipped directly to your customers, no matter who prints them. Prints and most merchandise items will typically ship within 48 hours, often within 24 hours. Expedited shipping options are available, in addition to USPS First Class Mail (our standard method). Small print orders ship for less than $2.
It is also possible to choose your own fulfillment options – like in-house printing, or for sales of your company’s merchandise & apparel, for example.
Is it secure?
Our online transactions are handled by Authorize.Net, a respected member of the online commerce community. They maintain compliance with industry leading security initiatives, including the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).
Once the transaction is complete, our policy is simple: We do not retain customer credit card data in any way.
How do I get my images onto the site?
Uploads to us are handled over ftp or sftp connections. It’s simple and fast. Once a day — at a time of your choosing — we import your images. Once imported, we can build search links (galleries) based on any of the metadata (IPTC, XMP, EXIF) you include in your files.
Who decides how my site looks?
You do. Take a look though the Fotobroker user list — there’s a pretty wide range of styles to see. The best results come from close cooperation between your team and ours. A basic template is provided to get you started.
